Andrew is Hertfordshire County Council’s Virtual School Lead Adviser for Secondary aged Children in care. His team support schools though a school improvement model which over the past 5 years has secured annual improvement in outcomes at GCSE and A level for Hertfordshire’s Children Looked After.
Before working for Hertfordshire, Andrew was a senior leader in North and East London and has worked in both curriculum leadership and pastoral. He trained as a history teacher and since qualifying has completed a Masters in SEND. He supports his daughters’ school as a Governor and also serves as a Director of a local Multi Academy Trust. Most recently he has completed an MBA which focussed on gaining value from the inter-relationships between teams across an organisation. In his spare time, Andrew likes to run and cycle and spend time as a family.
